Description
23" (58 cm.) x 19". The wooden-framed oil on canvas depicts a homey timeless scene in which young sister is standing on stool as she brushes the hair of her older sister, the older sister clutching her favorite doll, and a black and white pup resting on the nearby floor. The faces of the children are very expressive, the younger intent on her important work, the older waiting patiently. Excellent condition, one scratch on paint. Unsigned, American, circa 1880.
