Description
3" (8 cm.) x 2". The paper bound pocket almanac with marbled cover was designed for New England in 1833, according to title, page, and contains wonderful historical facts for each day of the year, dates of the courts in New England, postage costs (e.g. single letters 6 cents for first 30 miles), dates of college vacations, and words of wisdom such as "Woman's Will" which queries "where is the man who has the power and skill to stem the torrent of a woman's will...". Excellent condition except binding loose, complete.
