22" (56 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead, black sculpted hair in short curls captured behind each ear, and single curl at each side of forehead, painted blue eyes in deeply-set sockets, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (partial Greiner label with early 1858 patent date). Comments: Ludwig Greiner, Philadelphia, circa 1860. Value Points: fine original finish is well preserved on the early American doll.
