25" (64 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead, painted brown eyes with outlined irises, black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette human hair in elaborate coiffure, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (holz-masse symbol and stamp on back shoulderplate). Comments: Dressel, circa 1880. Value Points: elegant lady with rarely found signature, original body, wearing exquisite white pique gown with elaborate soutache embroidery.
