Description
24" (61 cm.) Art-plaster sculpted head, blonde mohair curly wig, painted facial features, brown side-glancing painted eyes in deeply set sockets, closed mouth with slightly smiling lips, padded armature body, posable arms, posed on original wooden stand labeled with "Girl of 1895". Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Purchased J.H.Hoffheimer NY 1937 Traphagen School (original cloth label). Comments: Lilli Baitz, circa 1930. Value Points: wearing original blue flannel serge dress with smocking at bodice, lace bretelles and rose silk banding, striped knot stockings, black painted shoes, holding knitting project in her hands. Included is original labeled leather travel case.
