Description
15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with amber-tinted complexion, painted black hair with feathered detailing around the forehead, small brown glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, short feathered angled brows, slightly-parted lips, two porcelain upper teeth, amber-tinted composition baby body, antique silk costume. Condition: generally excellent, tiny chip back of left ear lobe. Marks: Made in Germany JDK 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1915, a variation of the firm's 243 wigged model. Value Points: rare variation of Kestner's 243 character with painted hair, very fine quality of bisque.
