Description
13" (33 cm.) All-cloth stockinette doll with single-seamed head, deeply-pressed facial features depicting a laughing child, oil-painted complexion, brown hair and features, small brown eyes in deeply-set sockets, nostril dots, closed mouth with defined space between the lips, well-defined blushed ears, stitch-jointed shoulders, loosely jointed hips, mitten hands, antique costume and additional plaid romper suit included. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5915 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, the "Schlenkerchen" model, Type II, circa 1925. Value Points: especially fine detail of modeling around the eyes, wonderful tendril curls on forehead.
