Each has carved wooden head with uniquely expressive features and facial modeling, artistically rendered brown complexions and painted features, cloth torso, carved wooden hands and painted shoes, and each is wearing original woolen Sunday best clothes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American, late 1880s, the dolls include Preacher and elderly lady and gentlemen from his congregation, along with wooden podium and book. Value Points: very fine detail of American folk art figures with expressive faces, original costumes.
