32" (81 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with rich spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the sockets, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, kid body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12. Comments: French, Gaultier, circa 1870. Value Points: very rare Exhibition size of the poupee, enhanced by original body and very fine quality of modeling, bisque and painting.
