10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head, tiny painted blue eyes with decorative glaze, one-stroke brows, closed mouth with downcast lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany A 1 M. Comments: Marseille, circa 1910. Value Points: rare little painted eye character, wearing store original Scottish costume including tam and accessories. The doll is shown in the book The Rose Unfolds by Rosalie Whyel and Susan Hedrick, page 184.
