16" (41 cm.) Amber-tinted bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes in half-moon shape, dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, black brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented nostrils, open mouth with richly-outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, black mohair bobbed wig over plaster pate, amber-tinted composition baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: L made in Germany 12 JDK 243. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912, their portrait of Asian baby. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque and painting, the doll is wearing lovely antique costume and coiffe.
