20" (51 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head, torso and legs, head inclined to the side and gazing downward, heavy eye lids, brown enamel eyes, richly carved brown hair, closed mouth with solemn expression, wooden arms with jointing at shoulders and elbows, expressive carving of fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: early 1800s. Value Points: very fine detail of carved wood facial features and hair, original finish well preserved, antique costume and accessories of priest.
