22" (56 cm.) All carved wood head and torso to waist, groove-carved short curly hair in centerpart, carved ears, defined facial features, cloth lower torso and stitch-jointed legs, cloth upper arms, carved wooden lower arms, wearing antique knit costume, woolen stockings, leather boots. Condition: very good, nose chipped off, age patina on original painting of complexion and features. Comments: American, late 1800s, an original note (not included) on doll when it arrived at Museum indicated it was found at a North Dakota Museum with objects of Norwegian history. Value Points: intriguing folk art doll with dear expression.
