Description
16" (41 cm.) -18". Set of ten hand puppets, each with hand-crafted paper mache head with uniquely-sculpted face, hair, or features, and with cloth-costumed "empty" body form designed for hand puppet use, and wooden or cloth hands and feet. Condition: generally excellent, one has extensive wear to original facial finish. Comments: The puppets were created as part of the Federal Artist Project of the Great Depression W.P.A., circa 1933. Value Points: very rare Americana in perfectly-preserved condition.
