Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted short blonde hair, intaglio blue side-glancing eyes, white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with modeled hole between lips for pipe, paper mache torso and legs with walking mechanism which turns the head when legs are moved forward and back, composition jointed arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (square) 5 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915, their 6774 model more commonly appearing as Whistling Jim, is in original walking presentation here, in original labeled box, original costume, and with two miniature pipes for costuming. Value Points: rare model in original presentation and box.
