Description
21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with firmly-set expression, brunette mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique gentleman's formal suit. Condition: generally excellent, some repainting on body, two fingers broken. Comments: French, circa 1910, from the French Renaissance art doll movement, attributed to Lanternier. Value Points: seldom found doll with very expressive features.
