Description
Bisque socket head, strongly sculpted features of young boy with mischievous smile, blue glass sleep eyes, black and incised eyeliner, arched lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with impish crooked smile, two beaded upper teeth, modeled double chin, composition and wooden fully jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 110. Comments: attributed to Adolph Wislizenus, circa 1910, the model was also made with painted hair and painted eyes. Value Points: rare model with fine modeling and bisque, original body with wonderful detail of toddler chubbiness.
