Description
31" (79 cm.) w. x 17"h. x 13"d. The wooden stable features three open stalls at the bottom level, fitted with supply and food bins below, an upper floor designed as apartment for care-keeper, with painted and lithographed paper cover to simulate brickwork, windows and curtains, and with opening doors and steepled roof line. There is a separate room with opening door at one side and a stair case at the other, along with two gable windows. Twelve various paper mache animals are housed in the lower stable. Excellent condition. Germany, Moritz Gottschalk, circa 1900.
