Carved wooden woman with one-piece head, torso and legs, the torso with carved details of flowing draped painted blue gown, the face inclined slightly downward and eye lids sculpted closed, closed mouth, painted facial features, long light brown flax wig, cloth upper arms, carved wooden lower arms, original blue silk gown. Condition: structurally excellent except missing baby fingers and toes, painted finish is original. Comments: Italy, early 1800s. Value Points: rare small size complemented by very fine detail of carving, both of facial features and body form.
