Description
11" (28 cm.) h. overall. The two-piece set features Pierrot wearing classic costume with ruffled collar and black pom-poms and black skull cap posed kneeling with his hands upraised and clasping the legs of Pierrette who stands balanced on his knees. Pierrette stands with hands clasped, spit curl in center forehead and sides of face, and wearing ivory satin costume with powder puff skirt which is detachable for use. Marks: 6072 (and 6073). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1920, Dressel & Kister Co. the rare model is enhanced by detailed all-around modeling and artistic painting.
