Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes with "dot" highlights, feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Steiner Paris Fre A 9 (head) Le Petit Parisien (black stamp on torso). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890, the bebe was likely presented in the luxury Parisian doll shop of Au Nain Bleu as indicated by the quality and style of her costuming. Value Points: beautiful shy-faced bebe has finest bisque and painting, original wig, pate, body, body finish, and wearing original lavish silk dress and original undergarments, stockings, shoes, woven silk and floral trimmed bonnet.
