Description
For 17"-18" poupee. 14" overall. 4" shoulder width. The two-piece ensemble of natural linen in soft brown color features a jacket with dart-shaped bodice and wide pagoda-shaped sleeves above a widely flared flat-front skirt with attached overskirt which forms a bustle at the back. The gown is accented with bands of narrow knife pleats which edge the jacket front and sleeve edge and circle the skirt, and with very fine open-weave lace edging. Excellent condition. French, circa 1870.
