Description
10" (25 cm.) l. trunk. Including heavy card stock trunk with wooden exterior slats, bail handles and with various travel stickers for Edinburgh and Belfast on exterior, hinges open, with original interior label for Marcus Ward Company; along with firm-sided brown suitcase with leather straps and bail handle. Excellent condition. Circa 1900, Marcus Ward was a Victorian printing firm that specialized in greeting cards and children's novelties, indicating the trunk's original purpose as candy or treat container.
