Description
To fit 17" early Huret poupee. Of very delicate sheer gauze with woven abstract pattern in delicate pastel colors, the gown features a square-cut neckline with shirred center panel flanked by ruffled edge bretelles extending around the back forming a cape-like effect, and which overlay the ruffled short sleeves, set-in waist band above a very full skirt with narrow gathers at the waist. The gown has a green stamp on inside waist band "Huret a Paris". Excellent condition. French, Huret, circa 1860.
