Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg-jointed bisque arms, kid lower torso and legs with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, original muslin chemise. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1 (head and torso). Comments: Kestner, circa 1885, the doll was inspired by the kid body of the Bru bebe. Value Points: very rare miniature model by Kestner with original sturdy body and wig, beautiful expression and bisque.
