Description
14" (36 cm.) Thick paste porcelain shoulderhead with lightly-tinted complexion, black sculpted hair drawn smoothly around her forehead, tucked behind sculpted ears in short finger curls at the back of head, painted large blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, tiny closed mouth, original muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms, antique costume and shoes. Condition: generally excellent, one of the additional dresses has extensive fabric wear, tiny toy doll missing one arm. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: the dear gentle-faced doll is preserved in early bentwood box along with three additional dresses, checkered woolen cape, bonnet, three various hat boxes, two simple calico pockets, acorn-shaped velvet pincushion, and little toy doll.
