Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown sculpted hair waved from face and forming into two very thick bodied braids at back of head, with magenta bow on crown, painted facial features, blue painted eyes with dark outline, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, original muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower limbs, painted sienna-brown ankle boots with black tips and buttons, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: rare model with lovely painting, unusual design of painted shoes.
