Description
For 17" gown for Huret style poupee. Of soft black velvet, the fully-lined gown has fitted bodice overlaid with scalloped edge rounded collar, rounded neckline, short pagoda style sleeves with detachable lower black lace sleeves with fitted cuffs, set-in waist, very full skirt. The gown is accented with rose silk sash with grand bow at the back and on shoulder, and with rose silk streamers trimmed with richly beaded black embroidery that is repeated on the hem, and with black beaded edging on collar and sleeves. Excellent condition. French, in the Huret manner, circa 1860.
