Description
8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head with kid-lined bisque torso, plump face, brown glass eyes, painted lashes, delicately feathered brows, accented nostrils, smug smile, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, plumply-shaped legs, bent elbows, painted white stockings and black ankle boots with painted lacing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 1/2. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: rare model with most charming expression, distinctive modeling of body, very fine quality of bisque, original rose silk and lace costume.
