Bisque shoulderhead with very plump lower cheeks, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the outlined richly-shaded lips, unpierced ears, light brown mohair wig over cork pate, French kid-over- wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, bisque lower arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Maison Alph. Giroux 45 Boulevard de Capucines...(label on torso). Comments: French, circa 1865, the poupee was presented at the prestige luxury decorative arts store in Paris. Value Points: distinctive face with brilliant eyes and lovely complexion, rare body style, luxury boutique label, and wearing wonderful antique ensemble with elaborate detailing, bonnet, undergarments, leather boots.
