20" (51 cm.) Cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted complexion, hair and facial features, short brown shaded hair, brown eyes in well-defined and outlined eye sockets, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, firmly-stuffed body with stitch jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, defined separately-stitched thumbs. Condition: fair/good, extensive craquelure and paint wear, hands worn. Comments: Izannah Walker, circa 1865, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Value Points: the well loved doll is wearing her original gauze printed dress, undergarments, transfer stamped apron, and carries red knit cap.
