Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, slightly-parted lips, row of tiny porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, shapely legs, painted black ankle boots with tiny heels and blue tassels, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head and torso). Comments: Germany, Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: very expressive features on the plump cheeked miniature, fine gleaming complexion.
