16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with very delicate complexion, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, pronounced black eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with shapely modeling, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose (and indecipherable letters on front shoulderplate). Comments: French, circa 1860. Value Points: most unusual modeling around the eyes creating a distinctive expression, enhanced by very fine bisque and complexion.
