Description
For 17" plump-bodied poupee. 3 1/2" shoulder width. 15" overall length. Of densely-woven twill in a rich Scottish plaid design, the ensemble features gown with fitted bodice and sleevelets edged with black velvet borders, above a full skirt formed of box pleats and with three bands of black velvet, black button and loop closure. Along with matching cape with black velvet bands and neck bow, and with long fringed edging The gown and cape are of antique fabrics, in the Huret manner, although of later construction. And with kidskin ankle boots in unusual light tan color with brown elastic inserts and black kidskin toe tips and wooden heels, marked C.C., circa 1860. Both excellent condition.
