Description
8" (20 cm.) Each is all-bisque with swivel head, plump face, blue glass spiral threaded eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, tiny pertly-shaped lips, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs with very sturdy plump limbs, painted white stockings and yellow ankle boots with black lacing and heels. Condition: repair at front neck and small hairline at back of head (cream dress) (both dolls have tiny chips at arm/leg holes). Comments: Germany, attributed to Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1880. Value Points: rare yellow boots, the pair of wide-eyed dolls are wearing very early antique costumes, and are presented in early trunk with a further selection of dresses.
