13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid-over-wooden body with swivel waist, jointing at shoulders, hips and knees, bisque arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent, three finger tips chipped off, chip in upper left arm. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: distinctive expression, rare body style, charming petite size, and presented in rare early trunk with interior drawers, containing a number of antique costumed, hats, and accessories in addition to the early pique gown that the doll is wearing.
