Bisque socket head with highly sculpted expression, painted blue upper-glancing eyes with intaglio sculpting and glazed highlights, black and incised upper eyeliner, short brushstroked brows, accented nostrils of rounded nose, closed mouth with outlined lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany A 7 M. Comments: Marseille, from their painted eye art character series, circa 1910. Value Points: very rare to find model with exemplary sculpting lending an unusual facial expression, with laughter crinkles under eyes and impressed cheek dimples, enhanced by very fine bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
