Description
10" (25 cm.) Of padded fine cotton crepe over copper-wire armature and sculpted facial model, very angular face, painted facial features small blue eyes, strong nose, closed mouth, individually sculpted fingers, pale blonde silk thread hair captured in elaborately constructed gilt and beaded caps at each side of head and crowned with jewel trimmed crown and veil. Condition: excellent. Marks: Dorothy Wendell Heizer (cloth tag inside costume). Comments: portrait of Anne of Bohemia, wife of Richard II by Dorothy Heizer, circa 1950. Value Points: very rare model, superbly preserved wearing original brocade red patterned silk gown with ermine fitted draped shawl trimmed with pearl beaded rubies, very elaborate coiffe.
