Pressed bisque socket head with delicate pale complexion contrasting very plump cheeks and chin, almond-shaped blue glass paperweight eyes, dark eyeliner, mauve eye shadow, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, original hand-stitched blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden fully-articulated body with dowel and pin jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5 (head) N3C-34 (impressed symbols on back torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his earliest version of his Bebe Modele, 1879, with signed Bru shoes. Value Points: extremely rare bebe with exceptional quality of bisque, sculpting and painting, splendid eyes, early signed wooden fully-articulated body with maker's mark, white pique dress with soutache embroidery.
