Description
14" (36 cm.) Very firmly-stuffed teddy with lean torso and having brown coat of silk artificial plush, swivel head, very pronounced nose, wide-apart stitched-on ears, amber glass eyes, brown embroidered nose, disc-jointed shoulders and hips, felt paw pads, pronounced hump at upper back torso. Condition: excellent except snout finish worn. German, attributed to Steiff, late 1940s, the silk plush was a substitute for hard-to-find mohair during this period.
