Description
16" (41 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with carved short boyish-style hair with forelock curls, painted blue down-glancing eyes, white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full pouting expression, wooden spring-jointed body, antique costume of overalls and shirt. Condition: generally excellent, original finish with light scuffing. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan 17, 1911. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1912, model 201, the doll closely resembles the pouty faced models of Kammer and Reinhardt. Value Points: rare to find model with excellent detail of carving, original finish.
