Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulderhead with plumply modeled cheeks, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, brunette human hair, French kid poupee body with shapely torso and limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: maker unknown, circa 1865. Value Points: most unusual model with very beautiful face and bisque, wearing original sheer muslin gown with elaborate bands of lace and blue silk trim, intricately constructed bustle, undergarments, aqua kid slippers.
