Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted delicate lashes and brows, dark eyeliner, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with upturned lip corners lending smiling expression, outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden body with deluxe dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, ball-swivel at the waist, kid collarette, included is (frail) original antique gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, the smiling face model was deposed that year. Value Points: fine original condition of the petite poupee with original deposed head and deposed wooden body.
