Solid domed bisque socket head with sculpted short brown curls peeking beneath a sculpted Prussian helmet, blue glass side-glancing googly eyes, painted short curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, slightly parted lips in smiling expression, composition and wooden fully jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep Elite D 1. Comments: Max Handwerck, circa 1918, from the firm's series of googly dolls with sculpted helmets. Value Points: rare model with excellent quality of bisque and painting, impish googly smile with dimpled lip corners.
