Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom, metal turn-screw at back of head for nursing mechanism, rubber ball in head, blue glass inset paperweight eyes with spiral threading, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original slender kid bebe body with Chevrot hinged hips, wooden lower legs, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque lower arms with detailed sculpting of fingers, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, body quite sturdy. Marks: 2 Bru Jne (head) (original Bru paper label on torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884, the model marketed as Bebe Teteur. Value Points: well-preserved Bebe Teteur, with intact nursing mechanism, sturdy body, perfect bisque hands, splendid eyes.
