Description
12" (30 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with very plump rounded face, shaded brown hair with original hole at crown for insertion of tuft of hair curls, large blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, closed mouth with downcast lips, composition baby body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A Ellar M Germany 355/3 K. Comments: Marseille, circa 1920, variation of classic Asian child doll marked Ellar, this example with uniquely painted hair, larger eyes and mohair lashes.
