8" (20 cm.) Bisque socket head with large rounded face, blue glass googly side-glancing eyes, short painted lashes, one-stroke brows, tiny button-shaped nose, short one-line closed mouth, impish smile, brunette mohair wig, composition toddler body with plump tummy, jointing at shoulders and hips, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 241. Comments: Armand Marseille, circa 1917. Value Points: the rarity of the googly is complemented by delightful expression and fine quality of bisque.
