Description
5" (13 cm.) Each is all-bisque with one-piece bisque head and torso, loop-jointed bisque arms with modeled bent elbows and pointing fingers, loop-jointed legs with thigh-high painted stockings and one-strap shoes, brown glass inset eyes, expressively modeled closed mouth, painted lashes and brows, brunette mohair wig. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JIO c. 1919 (incised, and one with original paper label "Mimi"). Comments: designed by American artist, Jeanne Orsini, circa 1919, included are Mimi with "O"-shaped mouth, and Vivi with wide beaming smile. Value Points: rare to find delightful pair of characters.
