Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, delicate rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed body, bisque arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent, thumb restored on right hand. Comments: French, attributed to Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1870. Value Points: lovely eyes dramatized by rich eyeliner and soft eye shadow, bisque hands, wearing fine antique costume with extended train, undergarments, ivory kid slippers.
