Description
20" (49 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue painted eyes with enhancing decorative glaze, black upper eyeliner, brushstroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full downcast lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique school dress and pinafore, ruffled bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, some typical wig pulls (under wig). Marks: K*R 114 49. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, their art character model marketed by the firm as "Gretchen". Value Points: especially fine modeling enhanced by decorative glaze on eyes and lips, rarer brown eyes.
